Manchester school budget hearing ends in a minute

"There was something missing from yesterday's public hearing on the school budget.

The public.

Not a single person took advantage of the opportunity to address Mayor Ted Gatsas and the school board about their proposal to send $148.9 million to the city's schools next year.

In fact, the only person uttering so much as a full sentence at the hearing was Gatsas, who called the hearing to order, then adjourned it just a minute later.

"We must have done that good a job," the mayor mused."
