New Hampshire's Virtual Town Hall

Gov. John Lynch on Tuesday signed a strengthened anti-bullying law -- HB 1523.

The law mandates that each New Hampshire school has a clear anti-bullying policy and for the first time the law addresses cyber-bullying.

"As Governor, I have made the safety of our children a priority, and today, we are continuing our efforts to protect our most important resource - our children," said in a statement at the signing.

"Together - as elected officials, parents, teachers, school administrators and law enforcement - we need to send a clear message of zero tolerance for bullying and we will not allow it in our schools."

I truly hope that after today with all the news over the recent suicide of Tyler Clemente, a brilliant young man who jumped off the George Washington Bridge, that we learned something. I hope we begin to see the clear picture of what ignorance and bullying can do to the individual being victimized.

This is a serious issue. And it is an issue that can break the spirit of any individual no matter how weak or strong, young or old, and the result can having devastating effects not only on the individuals directly involved, but their families, friends, and community.

Today America lost another brilliant young American who had an audience at his fingertips just waiting for..............?

It looks like America will never know.

Heart-breaking.
