Why doesn't NH require motorists to have car insurance?

The car insurance issue was put on inactive status. The Live Free or Die Alliance is monitoring any new developments in regard to this issue; any new information will be posted here. New Hampshire currently does not require motorists to have car insurance and earlier this year the House Transportation Committee voted against a bill that would require motorists to carry car insurance.

Do you think New Hampshire motorists should be mandated to have car insurance?
