For the grater good is not an appropriate justification, it's an insult, a misleading communist brainwashing catchall phrase.
What exactly is the greater good, who's grater good, how is that defined, where are the parameters, the limits?
I know it's politically incorrect to think these days but the excuse for grater good, collectivism, democracy, is really the big lie that is steadfastly taking control of every facet of our lives, taking away your rights.

You only need to look at what has been happening in other states, observe the corruption, it evolves into outright theft, follow the money trails and you will see in most all cases, to private developers and / or state coffers.
We live in a Republic, not a Democracy and hence, to vote for, ganging up on, political wrangling, manipulating laws or other means to forcefully take property is theft, it's bullying, it's unconstitutional.
Property rights must be observed and upheld as this is one thing that made America. Something that NH should stand up for verashisly or we may as well take the state motto off your license plates.

I'm not going to site actual cases, do your own research, but when they come for your house because they decide your neighborhood is blighted so they can level it for urban renewal then expand the neighboring mall, you will know exactly how eminent domain evolves into theft.
You see the grater good can mean things like the mall expansion will bring in needed tax revenue to fund the schools, sure you want that, it's for the children and I'm the Easter Bunny.
Of course they will be building the needed new fire station, hiring more police and bring a million low wage jobs to town, selling you all that on the nightly news. All to service the mall, enriching the private developers, that funded the politicians in inside deals thats pushing the greater good propaganda on the project.

In the end you loose your property, never made whole and to add a kick in the arss a few years down the road they raise your taxes anyway because now the mall needs sewer system improvements, more traffic lanes, lights and a bridge to service all the increased traffic thats making your life miserable.
When a real and necessary cause does exist, it makes sense and is reasonable for the State to aquire property, but never by force and never for private development or State financial gain.
The Constitution is not a right, it's an obligation that every American must follow and uphold or become enslaved.
