New Hampshire's Virtual Town Hall

In early December, former Epping police officer Bradley Jardis and Tommy Mozingo, a veteran of the U.S. Army, announced their intention to travel through the Plymouth State University campus bearing loaded rifles.  The announcement was made through FreeKeene.com, a libertarian blog that focuses on the Keene, NH area.

Current NH Law allows state colleges and universities to ban firearms from their campuses.  Following Jardis' and Mozingo's announcement on FreeKeene.com, Plymouth State University obtained a temporary restraining order forbidding Jardis and Mozingo from carrying firearms onto campus.

On Dec. 13, 2011, Jardis and Mozingo challenged the restraining order in Grafton County Superior Court, arguing that the university ban on firearms was a violation of the Constitutional right to bear arms.  According to a report by the Union Leader, the presiding judge set a Jan. 3 court date for further arguments.
