New Hampshire's Virtual Town Hall
On October 17, Devin Frenette disappeared from his Hampstead home and was missing for approximately 30 hours. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department deployed an air and ground search to find 9-year-old Devin. The search cost over $15,000. Now the Department is considering billing the Frenette family for the cost of the search. According to the Union Leader, "Should the Fish and Game Department recommend billing the Frenette family, the matter would be forwarded to Attorney General Michael Delaney."
The issue is complicated by the fact that Devin apparently ran away from home. DCYF is investigating whether Devin is a victim of child maltreatment.
Should the Frenette family be billed for the search for Devin?
