The government is already stealing enough from us.... the only business the constitution gives the government permission to be in business is the US Postal service. Why do we have to pay for a Nationalized business that is created to make unionized government jobs that have to be paid for by the taxpayers. Now your going to say that most people using the rails don't pay taxes only the rich pay taxes. I contend that if you had let a few of the rich off the hook on exorbitant taxes when the rail roads got in trouble that the private sector would not have had to close the rail lines in the first place. So who is at fault that we have no rail lines. It's the government and the people that think the big government, is the answer. Pay attention to history and you will know why we are in the economic disaster we are in. It is because of such behavior we have lost our NH advantage and we are losing our USA advantage around the world. When you take money out of the private sector to finance something in the public sector it becomes a money pit. Now how can I say that? Look and see if you can fine one government program that has not cost more than what was first stated and once you start one how many ever end. This is a bail out of a business that failed a long time ago. Let it die and move on. If the private sector feels it is a worthy investment it will hapen. Government does not need to be in a business that loses money and has no hope of making any. The USSR tried it and it didn't work. Maybe those that are pushing for it are hoping to try more of the Socialist experiments also.... to bad it's been tried and failed over and over again.... What makes anyone think it will work this time?
