I'm 17 and will be 18 by the general election, why can't I vote in the primary?

In 2009, the Legislature considered SB 21, a bill allowing 17- year-olds to vote in primary elections, provided they turn 18 by the time of the general election.

The bill failed to make it out of the Senate.

Do you think 17-year-olds should be allowed to vote in primaries?
