Cyndi Desrosiers replied to LFDA Editor's discussion 'A bully's penalty remains a secret' in the group Bully Law
"I was on the committee which drafted this new law and have been involved in other state bullying prevention laws as well. The issue really should not be for parents to know the exact punishment or consequence that the child who was the perpetrator…"

Robert Olcott replied to Cyndi Desrosiers's discussion 'head injuries' in the group Motorcycle Helmet Law
"I can remember when the National Criminal Justice Reference Service published results of their study of Police Motorcycle helmets, and how many of them failed to protect police motorcyclists. After attending a "repeal the helmet law…"

Cyndi Desrosiers commented on LFDA Editor's member post 'Is NH due for a four-year governor's term?'
"Two year terms mean that politicians are constantly "running for election" rather than doing their jobs well...if you can seriously say "2 year terms have stood us in good stead so far" then we will probably never agree Robert."

Cyndi Desrosiers commented on LFDA Editor's member post 'Is NH due for a four-year governor's term?'
"Two years is not enough time for real change. I'm not saying I support the current administration but part of the problem in NH is the short term limits with most elected seats!"

head injuries

Make it mandatory if people who ride are not smart enough to wear them.  Brain injuries are costly and lifelong...take it from a mother who has a 23 year old with permanent brain injury- it's not worth the risk.

It's already a law- we simply need to enforce it.  This is ridiculous.

NO- the drinking age is 21 for a reason

With all the research out there about the brain development not being complete until mid to late 20's, it is wise to keep the drinking age at 21.  The two issues of being in the service at 18 and drinking at 21 are just that- two totally separate issues.  The discussion has a ton of research supporting the need to stay at 21- for the health and welfare of our youth.  End of discussion.

Reform-- of course!

It makes economic sense and it is simply the right thing to do.  I've seen that report and there is proof that if we actually implement prison reform, we will save money and lives in the long run...how about investing in NH's future instead of continuing to punish people without rehabilitation or educating them?  The jails have become mental health and substance abuse treatment centers without adequate services- let's make the decisions that create solutions instead of doing the same 'ole thing…See More

The Rx epidemic is here- we MUST act!

Absolutely- Legislators need to be educated about the pros far outweighing the cons with a prescription monitoring program.  Every state bordering us has one.  Those who abuse medication and doctor shop do so easily in NH because we don't have the safety measures in place.  Prescription drug abuse/misuse has hit epidemic proportions as has been reported repeatedly by the Medical Examiner Dr. Andrews.  The only group that ever questions the data is the Board of Pharmacy and that has always been…See More
