As I consider the question posed here, I go back to the abbreviation - "LLC" - Limited Liability Company. The State of NH, through its LLC law, gives the "members" or owners of an LLC a protection or shield against any debts that their LLC may have. If they were organized as a partnership, that would not be the case.
