Kris Schultz replied to NewHampshire's discussion 'NH Needs to Enforce Law' in the group Immigration Reform

NewHampshire left a comment for Betty Ann Trought
"We already have immigration laws. My family came here under them... they required health and criminal background checks, a sponsor, a place to live and a job. When all that was in place, we were good to go. Fed gov already has laws, now if they…"

This is nuts. Immigrations reform is necessary at the federal level. We all need to remember we are immigrants or the decedents of immigrants here in the USA (even the "native Americans" immigrated. So a fair and just system is required. It is time to remember that our economy would be in much worse shape without our immigrants - they are the people doing the work that "American's have become too good for!"
Besides most are really nice people just struggling along like the rest of us. This is a federal issue and NH sure doesn't need to waste its time and resources on it -- Lets fix what is wrong here!
