I support the "Defense of Marriage Act", Marriage is a covenant between one man, one woman and God. As for our Constitution and equal rights and protections under the law, I think "give to Cesar what is Cesar,s". A covenant between the government and homosexual couples providing these equal rights and protections such as "Civil Unions" would provide this.
The hateful and discriminatory reprisals of our government officials, such as Rahm Emanuel against companies like Chick-Fil-A for professing their moral and religious views is a dangerous and scary thing for both religious persons and everyone's protections under our constitution. Our government is out of control and needs some serious fixing.
I think that with our votes in November as a religious and moral people, we need to consider these issues above all others (even the big economy issue).
