The topic that generated the most discussion this week on the LFDA is... motorcycle helmets. It wasn't even close.
A news article stating
motorcycle related deaths increased 220 percent this year set off a frenzy of comments opposing a mandatory helmet law. Check out our
Facebook page or this
Joe Citizen blog for a sample.
Bible signShould a property owner in Chichester be allowed to
construct an electronic sign that displays Bible scripture? The town zoning board voted against the request, citing concerns the sign would distract drivers. The property owner argued his sign would be no different than a gas station sign located across the street.
How does the LFDA community feel?
"Commercial vs Residential. Do we really want to grant everyone the right to put huge signs in there front yards??? I have a few sayings for the DOT plow trucks that keep taking down my mailbox. Should I request a sign board permit to speak my mind?" - Craig Parker
"Oh yeah, and digital road signs or the blinding flood lamps used to light up highway construction aren't distracting to drivers? give me a break." - Mike Burgland

Election CentralThe LFDA is proud to announce the completion of our
State House of Representatives section. We've spent the last few months building a database of candidates (800+) seeking office in the House.
We are extremely proud of the interactive district map. There are 103 House districts in New Hampshire. Voters who don't know their district (it can be confusing) can slide their cursor along the map for a list of cities and towns in each district.

One click takes you to the district page which lists all the candidates seeking office.

Each candidate has his/her own page. We've compiled bio and contact information. If a candidate responded to our Issue Survey, then you'll find the responses on the page.

I challenge anyone to find a comparable resource.
Have a great weekend!
