We wanted to let you know that we'll be changing our discussion format over the next few days in order to make it simpler for our members to post on our website. As part of that process, members will no longer be able to comment on old discussions, although these old discussions will still be visible. If you'd like your "NDAA" and other discussions to remain active for comment, we encourage you to re-post your discussions as blogs! Blog postings will remain open to member comments.
Check in next week to see changes to our homepage, as well. Election season is coming, and the LFDA is getting ready to feature some exclusive candidate content!
LFDA is exactly what I have been looking for - a forum to get the word out that we must do what is necessary to save our Constitutional Republic.
To start we need a great leader to provide the people a vision and the goals necessary to have the vision become reality. Great leaders, in my opinion, do the following:
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE BEST PEOPLE YOU CAN FIND.
GIVE THEM THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO PRACTICE THEIR TRADE.
HELP THEM SEE THE VISION
ENCOURAGE THEM
PRAISE THEM
Also, we need strong families:
The success of a society depends on the strength of the family!
We need a vision that brings all humanity together.
VISION
The people of the world join together to accelarate the accummulation of all the knowledge in the Universe coupled with the fact that every life from the instant of conception until the time of death has the unalienable right to be free.
The United States of America is the only country capable of leading the world's people to accomplish this vision/dream but we must get our own house in order and return to being the economic and military powerhouse along with the envy of the world. To accomplish this we must elect a leader who will budget with a surplus to payoff the national debt, balance trade, make all decisions with the best interests of the Great American Family in mind and end entitlements which is subsidizing the downfall of our republic as something for nothing has been the downfall of every republic that has preceded ours all the way back 2000 years to the Athenians.
I wrote a book recently on this topic available on Amazon.com in the book category then just type in Guardrails, God & Santa Claus.
Here is a message we must get out to the American People Now!
Obituary of the United States of America
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; »From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage."
Born 1776 in North America
Died 2012
(236 years – better than average)
Note: Average is Awful!
Cause of Death:Entitlements -Giving away something for nothing - isn’t that a shame.
