New Hampshire's Virtual Town Hall
On January 10th, Project Veritas reporters walked into New Hampshire Polling Locations during the Presidential Primaries, saying dead people's names. We stated the name of a dead person we got from the NH obituaries. The names of the deceased were both Registered Republican and Democrats And in almost every case, saying a dead person's name, we were handed a ballot to cast a vote. We used no misrepresentation and no false pretenses. in fact, in almost every case, we insisted we show ID and they insisted that we vote without showing ID. Thanks to DailyCaller.com for breaking story.

Comment by Chuck McKenney on January 12, 2012 at 6:36pm Anna - you are right. But I don't see the downside to requesting basic ID at the polls. Why do we need to wait for a major voting fraud scandal before we put some easy safeguards in place.
Comment by John F.J. Sullivan on January 12, 2012 at 6:29pm Ultimately, this video catches Nashua ballot clerks in the act ... of doing their jobs under the law. Had they asked for ID, they would have actually been in violation of the Voting Rights Act for infringing on a citizen's right to vote, since NH doesn't require ID at the polls. Ultimately, The real problem is how to keep the voter rolls "clean," short of the regular purging town and city clerks perform -- and which requires registered voters to notify City Hall that they want to remain a registered voter even if they haven't voted in recent elections.
While I'm not sold on the alleged onerousness of changing the law to require an ID, instances of actual voter fraud (as opposed to fraud committed by James O'Keefe III and other provocateurs) is so low as to make changing the law a solution in search of a problem. Whatever happened to the "government which governs least?"
Comment by Anna Brown on January 12, 2012 at 11:39am I have to disagree with you Chuck - I don't think this provides evidence in favor of the Voter ID bill. As highlighted in this 2007 Brennan Center for Justice report, voter fraud is more myth than fact. In this case O'Keefe didn't prove that voter fraud is common - he just proved that he and his companion were capable of committing fraud. Check out this article on Nashua Patch to read the other side of this story.
Comment by Chuck McKenney on January 12, 2012 at 9:06am Oops. Forgot to add Gov. Lynch to my previous comment. He did vetoed the bill.
Comment by Chuck McKenney on January 12, 2012 at 9:03am Maybe this video will wake up the NH legislators who refused to pass the recent Voter ID bill.
